    Counter Weights
    We recommend using dumbbell weights as counter weighs for the Genus Mini Jib, as they come in different increments and are very compact, so when you find your perfect combination it makes life easy. They are cheap and can be found at any good sports store. For fine-tuning, using the Lock Jaw Collar clamps moving the weights closer and further away to ensure the camera Jib is perfectly balanced.
    Quick Release Plates
    We recommend attaching a camera quick release plate to Genus Mini Jib to allow the quick and easy mounting of your camera on it. The camera jib comes with bolts which allow you to securely and easily attach a quick release plate.
    Tripods
    We recommend you support the Genus Mini Jib with a strong and steady tripod. Make sure the rated payload of tripod is greater than the combined weight of the mini jib , the camera and another accessories you attach to it.

I’ve been looking to add more elaborate cinematic movement to my work, and decided to invest in a jib.  After watching videos online critiquing the Genustech Mini jib, I decided to make the purchase, and I have to say, I’m pleasantly surprised on how well this jib performs, especially with the price point.  It didn’t feel like cheap material, and holds my Canon c100 very well, without the jib feeling like it’s going to fall apart.

This is a great starting jib, and I would highly recommend it.

I researched all of portable jibs and settled on the Genus Mini Jib and couldn't be happier. I bought a 7.5 lb weight on Amazon, which makes a great counter weight. The jib is super strong yet lightweight and is extremely well made and designed. I highly recommend the Genus Mini Jib.
